D&D 5E [IC] Creamsteak's Princes of Elemental Evil

OOC: Good idea. It cuts off an avenue of retreat for us, too, but I'm down with closing and locking the cage if we can. Someone good with locks do it? Dent's good at bashing, not picking.

The gate can be shut and is strong. One of Qarbo's keys works on the lock.

The eastern door opens up into a hallway. That hallway ends in another door. The door is very old bronze and seems partially rusted shut.

Dent tried the new door. If, in his estimate, the new door was unlocked but wouldn't open because it was rusted shut, he exerted force to prize it open.

OOC: Strength check? [roll0] Athletics? [roll1]

Dent is able to force the door open. The next chamber is antiquated.

This barrel-vaulted chamber is obviously an ancient crypt. Niches along the walls hold dozens of old skeletons, some with scraps of burial cloth still clinging to their bones.

At the east end of the crypt stands a magnificent but empty stone sarcophagus, carved in the image of a noble human knight with a long white beard.

A rattling and clacking noise of bones is easy enough to hear. Eight human skeletons arise inside the room.
