~ Still shaking from the leftover damage done to his nerves, Miles could only shoot Kubeba a sore scowl. He rubbed at his forearms, burned and laced with the electrical scars that had severely damaged his skin and veins.

" Speak for yourself."

He thanked his healer once again for her kindness, before slowly standing and steadying himself. Curious, he made his way over to the elegant spear left behind by the Air Queen, running his fingers against the blade's tip before scooping it up into his grasp.

" Most certainly not the weapon of my mother," he noted sadly, wondering if the weapon was truly lost forever, " But I daresay a fitting replacement if ever there were one." ~

Then with a wry grin, "But it was a close battle."

That's what made it interesting! Thaliss telepathically relays, with a grin, with would be bit strange if an outsider looked at the seen.

Let us progress to the other sections of this temple, as we may find other "interesting" items

OOC: @Kobold Stew, can we assume Caradoc inspired us? How many HP do we get? Thx

The ten initiates someone stare and murmur among themselves. They look to Miles, and one mutters, "Does this mean you're in charge now?"

~ The soldier stopped for a moment, looking at the Throne where Kubeba sat, and then the spear in his hand, before regarding these others. With care, he gently laid the magical weapon against the side of the throne, letting it leave his grasp before approaching the one who had spoken.

" I ... do not believe anyone is in charge, at the moment," he admitted, unsure of how this power dynamic was supposed to work.

" Who are you to that ... Queen? Were you servants? Slaves ..?"

Miles certainly did not want to lord over these people, but he was also highly uninformed of just what this temple even was, why the Kenku had even brought him here. However, he certainly knew that they did not "overthrow" what may have been a possible tyrant just so that position could be replaced. ~

The one who spoke replies, "Some came willingly. Some were forced. We serve the elemental air. Those that survive the fast are initiates in the order. We were just initiated ourselves before you came."

Miles was a bit at a loss: some came willingly, some not? A Fast? None of this made any sense, and nobody was quick to explain all of this either. He rubbed at his temples, trying to make heads and tails of the situation he had found himself in. Damnable Kenku. Damnable slavers.

" Then there is no one in charge from here," Miles declared, " You are all free to do as you wish, so long as you harm no others. Those that wish to return to their homes from before should do so."

However, he was curious. Very curious.

" Tell me, then, of this Temple. Your service to the Elemental Air: what do you do here as initiates? What was this Queen planning to use you all for?" ~
