D&D 5E [IC] Creamsteak's Princes of Elemental Evil

Damien took position near the sleeping figure of Urshnora and looked at Aridha, "Your show. Let's get to it."

Explain to me why the genasi's head is still attached to her shoulders...

The warlock sighed heavily.

Damien took position near the sleeping figure of Urshnora and looked at Aridha, "Your show. Let's get to it."

Telepathically, Thaliss says to Damien, Carradoc and Aridha: Please allow me, I have a knack for these things. He then takes hold of his staff with two hands, and pokes the snake-woman firmly until she wakes. When she does, he says with decorum befitting his blue blood "Greetings my lady. I have the privilege of letting you know that you have been defeated. Do tell us who you are and what you are doing here, or I am afraid you shall have to suffer the consequences"

Given the circumstances, I am assuming that the others there are in effect helping Thaliss thus the advantage.
Note that I checked our character sheets, and none of us have detect magic, so unless the items are glowing or something, we wouldn't know they're magical...

OOC: I think I remember the default for 5E is that magic items are obviously magical unless the description states otherwise... just looked up the quote from the DM Basic Rules "Handling a magic item is enough to give a character a sense that something is extraordinary about the item." So, assuming Dent put his paws on them for any reason, he'd know they were magical.

Damien waited impatiently, just waiting for an opportunity to put an end to Archandros' unceasing whining.

The snake hisses at you and squirms. When it fails to escape it hisses some more and tries to bite at anything around. When she finally gives up struggling, which takes a few minutes, she transforms into her original form. "Our prophet warned us of your treachery, servants of the Eternal Flame. This act will not go without vengeance. Olhydra will have revenge. The Crashing Wave will not let this go lightly."

After a disapointed sigh, Thaliss sighs "Then so be it, my lady, you have chosen your fate.". As Thaliss backs away, he telepathically says to Damien, Carradoc and Aridha Damien, she is all yours.

Aridha went over to the woman and looked down at her, her eyebrows furrowed together slightly. Eternal Flame? Crashing Wave? Urushnora seemed to believe that they were embroiled in groups that, to the best of Aridha's knowledge, they weren't.

"Exactly who do you think we are?"

"Exactly who do you think we are?"

Urshnora scowls and laughs haughtily. "Don't play the fool. The prophet told us of your treachery. We took precautions. Your efforts here will mean nothing to the Plunging Torrents. We will quench your flame and Ulhydra will walk this world."

Dent pressed his advantage. "Back at the river. You mentioned that someone named 'Drosnin' was the only priest left at the keep. Wasn't nobody calling none of these dead men," here Dent kicked at one of the nearby reaver corpses, "Drosnin. So where's he likely to be at this hour? Or maybe he don't really exist? And you said sommat 'bout three bugbears in a north tower. What of them? And this 'Reash,' you said there'd be a second blue-skinned magic user." Dent leaned in close to Tom's face. The knight smelled of tobacco and sweat. Hostility rolled off him in waves. "You were blowin' smoke, weren't you, Tom? There's no Drosnin, no bugbears, no Reash. Isn't that right? There was just Jolly and the blue-skinned witch, wasn't there?"

OOC: Time-honored interrogation tactic to get one's opponent to disagree with you while the opponent is reduced to a state of fear, thereby proving your larger point (there IS a Drosnin, bugbears, and/or a Reash, and their locations). Or something. :)

Tom's face curls up and seems wet with his own sweat. "No, I told you, Drosnin is probably in his chapel. It's the nearest building. You met Reash! I made the hand sign and everything! At the chain! I'm not sure about the bugbears, they should be in teh tower... but how would I know?"

YES!!!

Pleased that Thaliss had given the go ahead to put an end to the woman after his cursory interrogation, Damien pulled his arm back to deal the killing blow. Before he could strike, Aridha spoke up and asked a question. Frowning, the warlock lowered hie blade a hair.

NOOoooooooo!
