"There's got to be someone else in this place that we could torture for information... hopefully one who can't flow under a door like it was nothing."

Telepathically, Thaliss adds: I agree that the risk that she flees is too high, and we endanger our contract to find the caravan if she warns our ennemies. I am also sure others will speak openly now, and perhaps even Tom will remember details he didn't earlier today The las bit, was added with definite telepathic irony.

"We'll move her away from the water first," Aridha presses firmly. "My spell stopped her once, it can stop her again. You can stand behind her, ready to strike if she seems to cast a spell or try to escape. We may not get much out of her, but we'd be fools not to try."

"Fine..." Damien rolled his eyes rather dramatically, "We'll follow your wonderful suggestion. Hopefully I'll live to lord it over you if you're wrong. Thaliss make ready, won't you?"

With his revenge denied, the warlock switched his pact weapon from the axe to his traditional rapier. Glancing at the writhing vines and kelp, he stared at Aridha, proffered a bow, and said, "Well... we're waiting!" (<- Hyperlink)

Dent made ready to join Tolan in snuffing the last remaining downed reaver. His weapon was on the upswing when Tolan stopped short and suggested tying up the reaver. Dent slowly lowered his blade, and an eyebrow raised in question. "No quarter for foes, that's my motto. You want 'em alive? You tie 'em up. I'll have none of that." The knight paused and grunted. "You're welcome about the healing. You're too valuable in a fight to let you go."

As Tolan tied up the reaver, Dent made his way 'round the corpses, looting them for useful items. He didn't pocket anything for himself; instead, he took the weapons and piled them on the table, along with anything else interesting or valuable he found.

There is not much treasure in the immediate room. Grimjaw's maul is his only meaningful equipment. The reavers have a few javelins, their longswords, and shields. On the ground floor you find the kitchens and some servants quarters. The kitchens are full of worktables with old battered crockery, sacks, casks, and barrels. There is a supply of cheeses and smoked fish hanging from the ceiling, as well as a dozen casks of ale (worth 10gp per cask) and barrels filled withsalted meat.

On the upper floor you find an old library. One old shelf has been cleared and restocked with a selection of tomes. The books, a dozen in all, are worth 25 gp each. Most cover nautical topics and include charts, excerpts from ships' logs, and the like. There are also two magic scrolls among the possessions here.

In the main room on the upper floor you find Grimjaw's chambers. There you find 600 gold pieces, and an unfamiliar cloak (magic). Finally, in a small silk bag, you find a spherical lapis lazuli (magic).

Dent placed all the weapons and shields on the table. He helped himself to the larder in the kitchen; he was hungry. He noted the books in the library, and made mention of them to Tolan, but otherwise left them on their shelves for the time being. Dent took the two magic scrolls, Grimmjaw's 600 gold, and the cloak, and placed those items on the table with the weapons and shields. He took the lapis lazuli downstairs, too, and idly tossed it from hand to hand while leaning against the table.

The knight had forgotten about Tom. When Dent returned to the room with the last of the items he'd found in Grimmjaw's chambers, he spotted Tom hunkered down in a corner. Dent strode over to Tom's hiding place and loomed over the brigand. "Get up." Dent pointed to a seat at the table, at the closest end. Out of reach of the weaponry and items. He used a booted foot to kick a chair to the side, a silent command for Tom to sit down. "You want to live? You talk."

OOC: I'm not sure Dent would know the cloak and the lapis lazuli are magical. He doesn't have detect magic.

Tom looks at Dent, cowardice in his eyes. "Wha...wha...what else do you want to know?"

Aridha frees up Urshnora, who is still unconscious for a few more rounds.

Tolan slumps against a wall and slides to the ground, content to let Dent see if there is anything left of use in Tom. After a moment, he begins to wonder where the others have gotten themselves off to, but he is too tired to go look right now.
