OOC: Naeris uses a bonus action to move his people light to ai41. Then uses his action to attack [roll0] another in case of adv due to darkness [roll1] damage p[roll] 1d8[/roll] n[roll2]+6 then he uses his move to head to aj40 avoiding entering the illumination

Naeris focuses on his lights causing them to move across the room "over here" he taunts in common then unleashes another arrow thats dark streak cuts through the flames momentarily turning them black on flight to the creature. He then repostions him self. Underdark skirmishing has taught him to abuse his foes blindness well.

The arrow strikes true and another spark burns.

OOC: My understanding of the current stealth rules, unless you are hidden then can know your position even blind or in darkness, though they suffer disadvantage and you have advantage.

The creatures steam seems to be running out but its focus narrows on the elf despite whatever distractions.

It attacks twice, hitting once for 16 points of damage against the elf. More of its flesh burns.

Observing the elf get smashed, Whisper wondered fleetingly if she should just let him die, but then thought better of the idea given that the dwarf was also dying. Shrugging, she headed out to do battle with the thing. Putting another arrow to her bow, she slipped along the southwest wall, took aim, and fired. Expecting imminent retaliation, she put all of her effort in being as difficult to hit as possible.

OOC: Move - 25' to AD44
Action - Attack the monster [roll0], Damage [roll1] + SA [roll2]
Bonus Action - Dodge

Forgot Advantage, see OOC thread, rolled a 23

An arrow strikes the creature one last time, its heart finally failing. The monsters leathery covering burns to ash, the metal parts crumple to the ground, wrinkled old remnants of a human frame within are visible in the ash as it whimpers into a pile...

and then suddenly a flash as the creature explodes in a fireball dealing 30 fire damage (reflex DC 12 for half) to everything within 20 feet of it (looks like Whisper after the move and Naeriss for sure).

OOC: 600 xp each

Whisper silently cheered as the thing fell. Then croaked in terror as a fireball consumed the entire room.

OOC: Dex Saving Throw: [roll0]

...and dying.

After an hour Whisper awakens in the pitch black room. The smell of char and blood and rot punctuates that you haven't woken up from the nightmare just yet.

Whisper rolled over with a groan. What the Hells? she thought. The stench of burned hair and flesh hit her nostrils like a carriage pulled by a team of eight draft horses. Blinking, she realized she couldn't see anything. Terrified at the thought that she had gone blind, she fumbled in her pack for a torch and tinderbox. By touch alone, she managed to light it and was relieved that she still had sight. "I guess it can't be all bad luck," she whispered to herself. Standing up, she started looking for her companions. Giving a wide berth to the dead golem, she stumbled across the drow first. "Nearis?" she asked, prodding him with a foot. The body felt a little too stiff. Reaching down she checked for a pulse. Finding none, she sighed, "Well, saved me the trouble, I guess. But he certainly was useful."

She left the body for now to check on Koregar, hoping the dwarf was alive. She imagined she could possibly do okay by herself, but it was certainly helpful to have someone sturdy between her and trouble. Then again, the dwarf had been taken out like a deadwood tree by the golem. Checking the body, she was relieved to find that he appeared alive, although in a state of deep unconsciousness. Well, that's no good... she thought. She knew she had no chance of moving the dwarf much and certainly not in a way that wouldn't attract attention. She did her best to push him under one of the tables and then proceeded to check the doors to see if she could close and lock them.

OOC: Does it seem like the doors can be jammed closed with lockpicks?
