D&D 5E [IC] hafrogman's Hoard of the Dragon Queen

OOC: These are the run-of-the-mill warriors you've met before. Two humans in boiled leather, wielding scimitars, and four scrawny kobolds.

Carad whispered to his team mates, "A group of two humans and four kobolds passing, dressed like those we've encountered before. They haven't spotted us. No commanders with them, it seems. We let them pass?"

That said though, he moved out together with Jeni, similarly in stealth, with his bow and arrow ready to fire.

Morgan nodded. "Wise counsel," she whispered, "let's save our weapons for a group with a commander. No need to attract unwanted attention." She waited in the tunnel until given the all-clear signal.

Venn stepped out behind the others, quickly flourishing a bit of prestidigitation to clear the muck and grim from his tattered clothes. It didn't seem to make a difference considering Venn already looked disheveled. Nonetheless he seemed appeased. He stuck close beside Morgan, yet seemed completely unaware of the situation they were in. He had a relaxed air about him as he began to chew on his nails and softly hum a song. Of course it was out of tune and unrecognizable.

As the scouts watch from the darkness, the six raiders pass on by. They give no sign of having noticed the group, and keep moving to whatever their goal is. Scree sees no signs of any stragglers or rear guard and in a few moments the path is clear.

OOC: You have emerged at point 2 (H6) and the temple is at point 3 to the east, surrounded by a low wall.

Seeing the brush to the east Jeni addresses Morgan, but for all to hear "Perhaps we should hug the river. I wouldn't be surprised if we find survivors there too"

Morgan glanced to her experienced scouts. "Move into the brush and work our way along, following the river, as Jeni suggests? We could possibly scale the wall to the church yard rather than having to expose ourselves on the road if we take that route."

As Carad led the party along the river, flitting from shadow to shadow, he also sent Scree high up into the air and borrowing its senses from time to time, hoping that with its birds-eye-view he could spot any potential raiders ahead, or what might be happening at the Chauntean temple.
