D&D 5E (2014) [IC] Uller's Out of the Abyss

Ezraen smiles, a feeling that has become unfamiliar, almost alien, "I hope that we can find them a fix soon..."

 

[SunGold]

"I was hoping they would sleep it off. My people go mad all the time--in battle, in bed, in our cups. But it fades in the morning light. This...I've never seen anything like this."

She sets Drum on the ground and looks back to Bert, wondering if anything he makes right now is even safe to eat.

 

[DMAesh]

"Well, to be fair, they have seen some stuff that no man alive should see. It is only by the grace of the gods that we are untouched by such things..." Ezraen shudders involuntarily.

 

[Uller]

As you step into the room on the other side of the opening you can tell the air is perceptibly thin, damp and stale and the smell of mildew hangs heavy. The walls here are rough hewn stone and the floor is made of large stone slabs. Both are slick. The room is small (less than 15'X15') and there is an opening on the other side. The passage there branches left and right.

OOC: What's the marching order?

 

[DMAesh]

OOC: Ez is bringing up the rear. Surana and Eldeth in front. I think that Erevan is mid.

 

[SunGold]

OOC: Oh durn it, there's a fork already. You guys cool with bringing the mad companions along? It's not ideal, but I'm afraid if we leave them behind they'll get slaughtered or wander off.

 

[DMAesh]

OOC: I am okay with it. Even more reason to follow along from behind...

 

[Uller]

OOC: It's not a big map. We can assume they stay a safe distance behind until you find the next safe spot.

 

[Uller]

Surana smiles back at Bert but raises her eyebrows at Erevan and Ezraen.

"Hey, Bert. Do you think you could make me some of your delicious mushroom paste? For, uh, the wedding dinner?"

She looks from Bert over to Shuushar curled up on the floor, and finally to Drum. She sighs and starts taking the little myconid out of her pack. "Stay safe here. I'll be back for you," she says to him telepathically.

Sure. Bertram whips up a batch (casts goodberry) and gives you half (5).

OOC: Some how Bertram's known spells got changed or something....maybe lost in the 'purge'? So I set it to Pass without Trace and Goodberry.

 

[SunGold]

"Thanks, Bert. Stay here for now, and we'll come get you when it's time to go."

OOC: I guess if we can safely leave some companions behind the order would be: Surana Orsik Erevan Ezraen Edit: Surana will just assume bad stuff's gonna happen in there, so she's going in with her swords drawn.
