D&D 5E (2014) [IC] Uller's Out of the Abyss

OOC: Probably voting for finishing the rest, with guard duty near the new entry.

Dex save: [roll0]

Edit: phew! Yes, I vote rest.

Time passes without incident. Demogorgon has either left or gone silent. Nothing comes from the new entrance other than the faint trickle of running water. Over time it changes slowly from the sound of a brook babbling over stones to more of a splashing of water falling into a pool.

OOC: Your rest ends. Don't forget you only get half your HD back.

Surana stands at the new entrance, taking in what little she can see with the torch.

"Any idea who might have made this, Shuushar?"

"It definitely looks like worked stone..." Ezraen cautiously peers in, "I'll go in first. I can see a little better than you in these conditions, Surana."

Shuushar has no idea and is clearly still not fully there. He just kind of stares at it and moves away to curl up on the floor.

Orsik [roll0]
Eldeth [roll1]

Both of the dwarves agree it is very very old. Hundreds or even thousands of years.

OOC: She can see fine (bright light for 20 feet). I was just RPing a bit of hesitance. ;)

Besides, she's got the most hp and advantage on avoiding traps (Danger Sense). She'll stay up front with Eldeth.

As Surana shakes her head, Ezraen nods, "Okay, I will cover our back then."

Giving a concerned look at Shuushar, the half drow speaks, hoping that Drum will translate for him, "I am sorry about your village, Shuushar..."

OOC: are ypu taking everyone into the new passage or just some? If just some, then who?

Bertram, Drum, Shuushar and Derendil all still show signs of madness...mechanically they have disadvantage on all checks and saves

Seeing that Shuushar is still not quite himself, Surana decides to check on Bert before heading off. She gathers her gear, tucks Drum safely in her pack, and then finds the halfling. She bends down on one knee to better scrutinize his face as she speaks to him.

"Feeling any better, Bert? Ready to leave your cave? If you come up front with me, we can share the light. We're going to explore tunnels..."
