D&D 5E [IC] Uller's Out of the Abyss

You spend the next few hours working your way through the webs. By now everyone has gotten the hang of it, Shuushar feels pretty confident you are making your way down and toward where you need to be to find the exit to this massive cavern once you get across. Things are going well...which only seems to add to your feeling of dread.

Shuushar and Eldeth stop to discuss your progress. They agree you are probably 2/3rds of the way across and have descended a good 300' or more. You'll have to stay at about this elevation to find the exit. That's when Bertram suddenly howls in fright. He's the only one that notices the impending threat. The rest of you notice them too late: Two inky black globes of darkness sailing mostly silently through the void. Before you can react, if you are within 15' of Sarith or Klep, you are enveloped and cannot see a thing (even if you have darkvision!).

No one is on solid ground. All of you are clinging precariously to the silken strands.

OOC:
I'll roll initiative. Whatever they are, they are moving straight at Sarith and Klep. The two of you can use the OOC thread to discuss your marching order. You will be single file, 10' between each character. Shuushar and Eldeth are together (within 5' of each other...it would probably make sense for Ezraen and Surana to be not far away and Bertram should be near Surana since both lack darkvision. I'll come back and edit this post with init order. Bert is the only PC that is not surprised but he doesn't spot them until they are about 25' away.

Edit: Okay...they rolled so poorly on their init I am not rolling for everyone...We'll assume everyone beats a 2 :-| But you are all surprised anyway so only Bertram gets to act before they do...he'll fire his crossbow...he's going to aim roughly toward the center of the nearest globe of darkness before it envelopes anyone.

Bertram cries out. He is holding on with one hand and tries to fire his crossbow with his other. It's all he can think to do to try to fend off whatever the hell that giant globe of blackness is!

They keep coming, undaunted. Klep and Sarith both helplessly disappear into the strange blackness...

Monster1 Attack on Klep: [roll0]

Monster2 Attack on Sarith: [roll3]

OOC:
Klep and Sarith both must make DC15 Dex saves to avoid falling...

Klep: [roll0]
Sarith: [roll1]

Both Sarith and Klep manage to hold on. Each is completely enveloped in 15' radius of magical darkness. By the sounds of their muffled screams, their mouths are covered by something that is preventing them from fully crying out or speaking (or probably breathing!). They sound to be in utter panic.

OOC:
Okay, we'll put PCs up next. It's totally up to you where you are in relation to Klep and Sarith. Everything is difficult terrain. Passing another character on the webs is doable, but probably only one person can be in melee range with the monsters at a time, two if they are coming from two different sides. Take some time and figure out your marching order first (or if you want, I'll do it...I'd prefer you two figure it out, though).

Once you two go, I'll decide how the various NPCs react.

OOC: Fortunately you don't need to make an acrobatics check to get around an ally. Also if you want an NPC to act before you and/or do something specific let me know.

OOC: Whew, okay. I thought maybe because of the situation on the webs.

Entering the globe of darkness, Ezraen listens for the struggling Klep and tentatively strikes above where Klep's head should be.
