OOC: No really, please heal him, because like you said, I can use hit die soon. He can't. And I can always rage in an emergency to halve most damage.

OOC: Who's to say that he cannot use a HD? I was under the impression that anyone could? Perhaps I should hold on to 5 hp, so that I can cure poison if needs be, and Orsik can use a cure wounds on Sarith for the rest.

OOC: Eh I could be wrong, but I got the impression that given their numbers, we weren't treating them as "full" members of the party. I haven't seen any of them use a HD yet. (Although now that I think about it, I'm not sure any of us have either.)

Regardless, don't bother with Surana. Whoever does the healing, Sarith meeds it more than she does.

OOC: Haha...ohhh, paladins... :-)

Ok. Thanks. That puts me at 17 hp, so let's just have Orsik heal our surly drow pal (I don't think anyone should walk around at 6 HP if we can help it) and dispense with the short rest plan.

Onward, to whatever fresh hell surely awaits.

Once you pull yourselves out of the fissure and assess your situation, things certainly could be worse. No one died. Sarith is vaguely appreciative of not being food for the tentacled beast. You are not trapped in this cave AND it appears the cave in blocked the passage behind you so it will surely slow down any pursuit (Shuushar points out there are other paths around, though).

So you take the time to rest and bandage up Sarith (he can use a HD [roll0]) before moving on. After a few hours the stone becomes more solid and stable. You again find lighted areas but this time they appear to be lit by natural lichens and you don't have the strange feelings you felt before. There is fresh water running with some strange translucent fish that Shuushar says are edible. It seems like a good place to camp.

"That's a good idea. Let's shore up defenses, and eat, rest, and maybe we are in the free and clear of our drow hounds."

Once everyone has been set to task, Ezraen looks them over. Battered and weary, we deserve a good rest.
