OOC: You can't both ready and make an active perception check. In this case, your check turned out to be exactly the same as your passive perception. So let's go with you readied and are just relying on passive perception? Up to you.

OOC: Just waiting to say, Clever girl... :p I assume that 12 was not enough to see any other of the Horrors.

Hoping to maybe knock the Hook Horror free, Ezraen launches the sling stone!

[roll0] [roll1]

OOC: Okay, if I cannot see any other target, I am going to attack. That was more a descriptive thing. I didn't think that a Perception check was an actual action, but I am fine with just using Passive.

OOC: Yes, making an active perception check is the Search action. In order to attack, you and Sarith would have to move up past Topsy/Turvy, which you can do.

Topsy and Turvy scurry out of the way as Ez and Sarith move past. The sling stone smacks into the creature's head, irritating it but it is still moving forward.
[MENTION=6801671]SunGold[/MENTION], Surana is up. It hasn't moved far yet, but you'd have to dash to cover the 30' to the wider ledge that it is standing on and Eldeth is tied to you and trying to aim (since she attacked)...so you'd have to untie yourself to get all the way there...or you can move up with Eldeth in toe but you can only go 12'. It doesn't appear that it can move very fast...but you don't have any experience with these things to base that on.

OOC:
Marching order:
Hook Horror (on a 5' wide ledge)

35'

Surana
Eldeth

Shuushar
Erevan

Ezraen
Sarith

Topsy
Turvy

Bert
Orsik
Derendil

OOC: Ugh, this is why I wanted Eldeth to hold her action and dash with me. I don't want to be untied, but I also don't want to give it a chance to move and pin us on the narrow ledge, where it has such an advantage.

Time for some barbarian courage/stupidity, then.

Glancing back and seeing Eldeth not ready to move, Surana slips out of the rope and runs for the creature, drawing her swords on the way. Rushing headlong toward the monstrous creature, she grins as she begins to feel the entwined ecstasy and anger of battle-rage.

OOC: Dashing the full 30' and raging.

OOC: Okay HH's turn

Eldeth let's out a cry of protest as Surana runs forward. The hook horror lurches forward and takes a swipe at the barbarian while holding onto the wall with its other hook.

Attack [roll0]
Damage [roll1]

It's hook scrapes across Suran's abdomen, tracing a crimson line. Searing pain screams in her brain.

Two more of the creatures appear both towards the rear of the party. One is climbing up from below (currently about 60' down) and about 10' behind the party. It will emerge on the trail behind. The second is about 60' above the trail and is face down as it climbs toward you. It is directly above the space between Orsik and Turvy.

Sarith and Bertram both make their readied attacks (at random targets).
