The sacred flame hits the creature but it ignores it. In the light you can see it is also "dead" like the one in front of Surana. Bertram's bolt sinks into it as well.

Save vs Poison (DC 8 now)* [roll0]

Shuushar stays with Erevan and encourages him to press forward. Eldeth moves further toward Surana as far as she can with a dash to close the distance. "You crazy human girl! You'll fall and Ez will never forgive me!". She is trying to hand the rope back to Surana.

Derendil backs up with Orsik and Bertram. "Let them come to me. Then you two go!". He readies an attack if they get within reach.

The two new hook horrors move 40' towards Derendil. Now one is directly over the other. One is 20' bellow the trail. The other is 20' above!

OOC: [MENTION=6801331]DMAesh[/MENTION] - Ezraen's turn.

Current situation:

Hook Horror 1 (5' wide ledge)
Surana (5' wide ledge) - 20 hp left
Eldeth (moved up as far as she could)

15'

Shuushar
Erevan

Ezraen
Sarith

Topsy
Turvy

Bert
Orsik
Derendil

Hook Horror 3 (20' up)
Hook Horror 2 (20' down)

OOC: Holy crap! Crit! Could I sacrifice the extra damage to have it take one of its claws off? If not, here is the extra damage...

[roll0]

OOC:
I don't think. Maybe if you had it down to nearly dead and wanted to choose between finish it off with your crit or cause some other cool effect...maybe. But it's sitting about better than 75% of it's max HP...it's just making a slightly deeper dent in its armor at this point.

Derendil looks over his shoulder as the two hook horrors close in on him. "If we kill the one at the front, most of us are sure to be able to escape!"

OOC: @SunGold, Surana is up.

OOC: I guess it's just a difference of storytelling philosophy, which is why I asked. I tend to make critical hits worth more than just double damage, because it is exciting to roll a crit (especially if it is a natural 20). Anyway, I figured it was at least worth asking. :)

Surana staggers back as the claw rakes across her abdomen, her grin turning to gritted teeth. As the pain tears through her, she lets it feed into her rage, her desire for blood even stronger now.

As she lunges forward, blood pounding in her ears, she's only dimly aware of Eldeth's protestations.

Main hand:
Attack: [roll0]
Bless: [roll1]
Damage: [roll2]

Off hand:
Attack: [roll3]
Bless: [roll4]
Damage: [roll5]

OOC: As a player, I understand this is insane, but: Too late, Eldeth. A raging, bleeding barbarian isn't going to stop to consider safety precautions.

Uller, I understand the likely consequence of this choice, so if you want to go for a PC kill here, you won't have an upset player on your hands afterward. I am prepared to quite literally RP this character off a cliff. ;)

I think you'll be fine for at least another round. In it's zombified state, it's not smart enough to do what it needs to do. Since you rushed to the wider ledge you actually are on ground favorable to you.
