Lorenn seems more focused on contacting Eko than being stealthy.

SnorLoska stumbles along the path they have walked before, trying to pay attention and not making too much noise but the roaring tunnel and the rift is quite distracting.
I shouldn't have mocked Sesto the way I did about his clunky armour, thinks SnorLoska, this is what then happens... Instant Karma.

Zander blinks for the hundredth time. "This is so odd," he thinks as he again looks at the gray form of SnorLoska ahead of him. "Never gonna get use to this," he says blinking multiple times even though his eyes don't hurt.

Location: The Rift Encounter: Stonefaces

As the group made their way down the slippery slope, Mord became increasingly aware that something had changed. Gone were of the hanging 'vines' and the creatures whose tentacles they were. The rift was dark - perhaps even darker than it had been before.

"There! pointed Aquaria. Terrus drew his sword. Far back in the cavern near the necrotic shroud, what looked like a human statue that had not been there before. But it moved... and there was another. Perhaps more!

OOC: I forget that some of you haven't been here before.

Flowing down a tunnel, the water of the lower lake cascades into a rift, roaring and foaming as it goes. Green crystaline growths hang from the ceiling. The largest of which, a huge stalactite, has fallen across the rift in a make-shift bridge. Beyond the rift, in the back of the cavern (off the map and out of darkvision until you go forward), is a shimmering grey curtain of necrotic energy.

To the left, a wide tunnel goes steeply upward (the direction the group intends to go. Of course, there is a stoneface there, currently out of anyone's line-of-sight.)

Not waiting for these things to do something crazy, like shower the group in stone or shoot lava out of their mouths, Zander moves along the wall carefully and hefts a javelin in one hand. He watches the furthermost stoneface and then suddenly near the corner finds another coming towards him.

Quickly he releases the javelin and then draws his blade keeping his back to the wall to help protect it. He is rewarded for his troubles with a solid thump as the thin metal spear takes a chunk out of the creature.

OOC: But did it hurt him is the question? Move to I-11 Action: Attack, throw javelin, should be within 30' Result: 1d20+6=19,1d6+3=9

Looking over people's shoulders, Mord can just perceive one of the stone shapes. Trying to make details in the dark with his Darkvision, he decided to perform an experiment of sorts. Laying the magic of his linger in Hex upon the creature, he struck out with his wand to fire off his bolds of dark force. His arm was jostled by Aquaria and the first shot flew wide. The secon though was on-target.

Dammit! They have put up guards here! SnorLoska gets frustrated and mutters: We can't walk unmolested for long, can we? And then he thinks... Well, we are doing the same to you, aren't we?
SnorLoska sees no other option than to barge straight in and fight these things... whatever they are. Bolts of dark force blasts past SnorLoska and Zander has already moved past him to throw a javelin and then Zander stopped, looking steadily to his left. What is Zander seeing to his left? SnorLoska wonders as he sets off, sword drawn. Going past Zander, SnorLoska makes out what Zander is looking at. Close by is another creature... or statue thing. SnorLoska changes the target and attacks the nearest statue recklessly and with great fury!

OOC: Move: M12 Action: Reckless attack (with rage, and damage): 2D20.HIGH(1)+7 = [1, 14]+7 = 21, 1D8+4+2 = [1]+4+2 = 7 2D20.HIGH(1)+7 = [2, 20]+7 = 27, 1D8+4+2 = [7]+4+2 = 13 Critical hit: Critical hit extra damage (including one die for Savage Attacks): 2D8 = [8, 8] = 16 Total damage: 36!
