Zander heaved a sigh of relief that the fight was over. He felt as if their was some higher power out there that really had it in for the poor, humble warrior. What he did to deserve all this animosity he hadn't a clue, maybe he should start praying to the gods to help protect him. Then he remembered the counterspell that saved his life.

He walks over to Mord as he surveys the pool, "Thanks for saving me back there. For a second I thought I was a goner for sure." he says his head held low and twisting his retrieved javelin in his hand. "I think I heard them talk about this pool before. Let me think..."

OOC: ... wait for DM (higher power) to confirm if Zander can give you advantage to that Arcane roll.

Zander remembered being on guard duty here when Josana the seeress was using the scrying pool. She always seemed to pour in some sort of oil (she probably has some on her person) and swirl it around before specifying the location of where she wants to see. She did some more complicated things too, but it can't hurt.

He searches her body and finds the oils amongst other spell components, and a healing potion she never got to use.

OOC: Someone could try Arcana again with advantage if they use the oil. She has three uses of it.

"That shine on the water," Zander says holding out the vial of oil. "It comes from this. The seeress used it when they were scrying at the pool."

Zander pockets the healing potion (if there are no objections of course).

Terrus takes a flask of oil and pours it in the pool. "Want to see what the dragon is doing?"

Arcana: [roll0]

After wiping the slime off, SnorLoska searched the body of the dead cultists. I am sore, SnorLoska called out. Does anyone have a healing potion? He then went on to search another cultist.

OOC: HP: 20/65

Terrus looked into the pool, swirling the water and asking to see the dragon. For a brief moment, the pool showed a dragon skeleton, impossible to tell how large with nothing for scale, but somehow it appeared to be massive all the same, resting on a pile of treasure. Wisps of gas shot from its nostril holes at regular intervals, giving it the appearance of breathing. It had one arm wrapped around a large stone that protruded from the ground. Under the other arm, a staff made of crystal. Or perhaps it was diamond.

Absently, the dragon skeleton shifted as if even in sleep it could tell it was being watched, and found it annoying.

Suddenly the room shook. Or was it the whole mountain? At any rate, the room shook hard enough that the surface of the scrying pool spashed out onto the floor, and the image of the dragon disappeared.

OOC: All told, the cultists have on them 45gp in various coins, two mundane rings worth 50gp each, and various spell components (worth 200gp). No other potions.
