Udit groaned "undead? Again? why???" He paused an instant - he wanted these beings distracted before striking.

Torbin pulled to the rear, hoping togive himself room to keep firing. Drawing upon his reserves, he wove a new hunters mark and laid it upon the captain. He might not be able to do much here, but he intended to do all that he could. And the best way to accomplish this was to continue firing arrows.

Kurzon strode forwards to engage the leader, he needed to distract them while his companions could attack.

"Come uglies and face me!" he called out as he drew his sword and strode into them.

Udit smiled sadly as Kurzon, once again, fearlessly and selflessly waded into battle. He's lost too many friends already. He took aim and fired at the leader of the ghosts

The arrow sailed through the head of the ghostly elf, but somehow *catching* something

Auraia tapped into her inherent connection to the air around her, causing it to swirl like a cyclone around her. Then she took her new scimitar and sliced at the lead ghost.

OOC: Bonus Action: Cloak of Air. 3psi Points, and all attacks have disadvantage, and she can and will use her reaction to cause a missed attack from her attacker to be redirected at her attacker. Action: attack: [roll0] [roll1]

Location: Dretchroyaster's Treasure Vault Encounter: Guardian Ghosts

The room erupted into chaos as it became clear that it would be impossible to remove the idol without enraging the ghostly guardians. Auraia drew her newly-found sword and it sang as if playing only the high-notes of some forgotten orchestra. The ghost-captain, Tamanier, moved toward her saying, "You were warned and did not obey!" in his archaic elven speech. Kurzon tried to interpose himself, but the ghost flew through him, a strange and unsettling sensation.

Just before the ghost reached Auraia, however, Drako fired his eldritch blasts. The ghost was struck from behind as if it were a solid creature, and it spun to the side, ducking his second blast. The ghost slashed his ghostly sword at Auraia, who whirled around as if made of wind herself, sliding around his blows.

Torbin fired arrows into the melee as other ghosts moved to back up their captain. Yet again, one of his arrows passed harmlessly by while the other, though it also passed through, seemed to frustrate the ghostly creature. As one of the ghosts slashed at Kurzon, who expertly defended himself, Lorenn danced forward, his magical rapier humming. The blade bit into the ghost with a loud sound and it was clear he had dealt its ethereal form a grievous blow, though the creature stood and continued to fight.

Udit's arrow flew true, and much like Torbin's it passed through the creature while disrupting the strange stuff from which it was made. One of the ghosts rushed toward Drako, and it slashed it's ghostly sword through the warlock. It was terribly painful and left a black mark, but no open wound could be seen.

The last of the ghosts rushed toward Auraia and was caught-up in her whirlwind. Even it's ghostly form seemed to swirl around, its sword bending and stretching in impossible ways.
