Lord Nelleon nods at Niles and says, "Alright. Let's do this." He then rushes into the room with his huge blade at the ready.

OOC: Leeeroy Jenkins! I am doing as Niles suggested. Rushing in, then moving to the side of the door so he can let loose.

Satisfied with the progress there, Silhouette goes to Cass.

"I apologize," she said, and it was either sincere or an excellent act, "You should have come back out immediately so we could plan the next step safely. Instead we acted rashly, without thinking, and you suffered for it. It won't happen again."

"Can you continue?"

Armides Diat, human Inquisitor of Asmodeus

[section]
Armides still doesn't know what he can accomplish against a mist and Niles and Nelleon seem to have a plan so he turns his attention to Cass and Silhouette.

"We can't have you dying on us. It would make the rest of us look bad." He reaches out and grasps the burn-scarred man by the shoulder allowing healing to surge through him and into the other.

[section]Cass eyed Silhouette but said nothing for a beat. Kindness was out of character for her, and suspicious. Because a response seemed necessary, however, he found himself saying, "Ten seconds, maybe twelve, in that room, is all it took. Lethal, it is. I can continue, but if Nelleon and Niles don't find a way to rid the room of the mist, we ought to go around another way, rather than through."

Cass nodded at Armides when the dark-haired fellow healed him. "My thanks." A curt nod of the head followed. And then Cass shrugged away, uncomfortable. He'd seen Armides's bed fellow. [/section]

Combat Round 2/3 Partial Wrap Up

Cass's ears pricked to the quiet whispers of his comrades. He turned to warn Niles and Silhouette not to fire into the room, but when the evidence pointed to his being a shade too late, he jerked away from his current position and flat-out ran across the room, toward the open doorway and the party. "HELLFIRE! WAIT, you damned fools!" A wheezing Cass rejoined the group a moment later--winded, his skin a funny puce color, and looking worse for the wear.

Silhouette rubs her jaw and nods. "He's clearly hurt though...we don't want to lose him."
That would make us look bad.
"The easiest solution might be for you to trigger it yourself, Niles. Then there'll be no one in your way."

Lord Nelleon swears under his breath. "So we would have singed Cass. That's what healings for..." He is perturbed, but does his best to control his temper at the lost opportunity.
Lord Nelleon shakes his head in disagreement. "If he goes in and gets struck, he might lose his spell. I'll go in first and he can accompany me. I'll be fine with a little fire if he can't control himself, though I ask he use some discretion."

"If you go in and move to the side of the door, I will have a clear strait line to aim at the vapor and miss you.
We need to be careful as we are contractually bound to avoid harm to each other if I recall."

Lord Nelleon nods at Niles and says, "Alright. Let's do this." He then rushes into the room with his huge blade at the ready.

Some sort of mist quickly floats up from the floor. It attacks Nelleon (touch attack 12; 1 damage & 1 Con damage). We will pause here for any readied actions before the mist completes its action. I believe Nelleon and Niles have some redied actions...

Lord Nelleon Mallicor nimbly moves out of the creature's way, avoiding the touch attack just barely. He then swings mightily with his sword, though he is doubtful he'll connect with anything physical.

Niles fires a jet of flame at the mist and burns it good.

The mist quickly seeps back down into the floor.
