"There's always more to smash," Silhouette chuckles.

"It's just a question of time."

She sighs.

"Lets get the decoys out here. If we don't need to use them, you can smash them. Best not to leave witnesses after all."

Vordahl looked around at the carnage in the hall while still kneeling next to the warden. Empty cells, more dead below, depending on how long it takes them to get here it could be obvious who died first. He began checking for anything useful on the warden while he had him as he responded to Silhouette. “Figuring this out won’t require much in way of witness testimony. Prisoner records and one half-competent investigator will figure everything out. You’re in luck though. Most of the deaths can likely be connected to me and the ogre. They may be able to figure out that the arrow that took the warden down came from Armides. Magic makes these things more difficult, unless someone knows for certain which of you, Armides or Asseni are capable of acid magic.” He smiles a grim smile as he seems to admire the others’ work on the warden. “Your escape might seem incidental, they’ll be after us. Unless they know you’re good at manipulating others.” There was a bit of satisfaction in his voice, his legacy of brutality was well known, he lost control sometimes, often, really. It meant there was a tendency to overlook the fact that he was actually clever when he stopped to think.

Armides heads out to see if his disguise will work. Vordahl begins searching the warden. He finds a potion, four scrolls, a dagger, a gold ring with diamonds, an ioun torch and a key ring with a few keys attached. The guards are equipped like the other guards with a chain shirt, a heavy steel shield, a longsword, a leather club, a longbow with 20 arrows and a key. After a short time Armides returns from his quick trip outside. He reports that he made it to the gatehouse without seeing any signs of guards. In fact the prison is eerily quiet.

"If they were smart, they ran. The warden has some useful things, maybe more useful to the rest of you." Vordahl sets the scrolls, potion and torch to the side, he holds the ring up. "Likely valuable, if we can get someone to buy it, perhaps it would get us out of this country, or enough people to bring it to its knees." He smiled, and as he moved to the dagger. He looked closely at it, he wouldn't be able to tell if there's any magic, but some fine craftsmanship might be noticeable.

Armides Diat, Inquisitor of Asmodeus

[section]
Armides rubs furiously at his cheek. He could really use a shave but now was not the time to get distracted.

"I didn't get far into the gatehouse but I didn't see guards anywhere. I think they're holed up at the end of the causeway. If they have more troops down there we're in trouble. Unless you all can swim." He shrugs. "I could try to find out for certain but safety in numbers, you know. It might be best to revert to Silhouette's plan." He looks dispassionately at the hostages.

"Well that's fortuitous," Silhouette said with the captives in tow. "Look who I found."

She nods.

"They may be waiting for reinforcements. We should get out while the getting's good. Our friends here can lead the way."

She pushes the two unfortunate prisoners forward.

Asseni, Tiefling Priest

Asseni clears his throat. "Once we are out, what then? Don't we need a plan. I do not want to end up back in this place or worse. Also, what are all those keys each guard has on them for?"

“Good question, Asseni. Tell me…” From behind, Vordahl puts a discomforting hand on the shoulder of the male prisoner, but he addresses the woman, looking directly at her, making sure she sees her coworkers situation. “Do you know anything about the guards’ keys? Or what lies beyond the prison. I trust you will be honest.” He looks down at the man as he moves his hand closer to his neck.

Armides Diat, human Inquisitor of Asmodeus

[section]
Armides glances over at Asseni. His eyes are hooded as if he is hiding some emotion that he doesn't want to reveal.

"I have a plan but it requires we get away undetected." He looks at the hostages with a flat stare. "And I'm not saying anything in front of these two." He pulls out his bow. "What say we run these two down the causeway? I'll shoot a few arrows their direction to keep them moving and we'll see what kind of welcome the guards down there have for us."
