"Oh, fine," sighs the sorceress. "Grumblejack, I think if you smash right about...here."

She taps a point on the desk about midway down it's length...hoping the strike will break the wood without necessarily crushing the drawer itself.

Then she quickly steps back, giving the ogre and his target pleeeeeeeenty of room.

Grumblejack smashes the drawer and desk pretty well. Within what is left of the drawer appears to be a large book. It has the appearance of a wizard's spell book.

Armides snatches the book from the shattered remains of the drawer and shoves it into Silhouette's hands.

"There. That should bring a nice price. Anything else you see that we might want to check out?"

With all the time spent since breaking out of their cell Armides is starting to get a little fidgety.

Silhouette tucks the book away and shakes her head.

"I think the map is the important thing from this," she says lightly. "Trying to cross the countryside without it might have been difficult."

She nods at the door out. "Enough said. Lets go. At this point, I think our best bet is to simply storm the gatehouse. The time for subtlety is long past."

Not going to walk straight to the gate, more along the lines of just around the Northwestern corner of the main building once outside. The captives will be kept close, Vordahl basically keeping the woman at glaivepoint, to help keep the man in line. He's not really attempting to be overly intimidating at this point, he only speaks a couple times to them, mostly bringing up Blackerly's corruption as just an example of a problem within Talingarde, attempting to be diplomatic, manipulating them into stockholm syndrome, but he's not so skilled as the seditionists. (Diplomacy check - 8)

At this point the fate of the captives seems redundant, but Silhouette is fine with holding onto them, at least until we can see what awaits us on the far side of the bridge. It may be we'll need the decoys yet. Low on magic, her plan is to bring up the rear...and unless the defenders have assembled a visibly formidable force, she'll hold back to see where her spells can be used to best effect while firing her crossbow in support.

Armides doesn't care what happens to the prisoners; let Vordahl vent his anger or Grumblejack play with them until they break. It just doesn't matter to him.

"The gatehouse seemed to be empty, what short time I scouted it. I say we move through quickly and take care of any guards there. Don't want them coming up behind us. Then down the causeway to the main gate. We bluff our way through and fight if we have to. It's not much of a plan but it's pretty much what we decided to try earlier."

The seven if you (Silhouette, Skalis Vordahl, Armides Diat, Asseni d'Vrago, Grumblejack and the two from the kitchen Gregor and Irena) head back down the tower, into the courtyard and through the gate house. The door out to the Guard House is before you. All that is left is to head through the door down the road, across the bridge and through the gate and you are free. The entire prison seems completely abandoned now.
