"It's not for you to say who's worthy or not," Silhouette reminds Cass. "But he's invited, so it seems the question has been settled before it was ever a question. Come along now...we've a fair way to go and not nearly as many days of supplies as we used to have."

She heads out, only trailing a little behind Armides, sticking close to Grumblejack. Just in case.

Niles takes his turn at the bag, finds the smallest set of clothes so the two burly ones will have the loosest clothes to fight with. if he has a chance he will look in the bag for anything else such as a spell component pouch.

[ready to move on] if he sees nothing else, he glances about for a good walking stick on the ground, grabs it and stands at the ready.[/ready to move on]

As he rummages through the bag he notes a small sack of spell components. This should come in handy should there be any spells that need components.
 

He snags it with an "Aha! this will help!" He holds up the pouch with a triumphant grin. He prepares to start moving with the others.
 



[section]Cass takes up the rear of the column. As the group walks, he eyes Silhouette's body from behind. Not bad. For a tiefling. I could show her a good time. Have to gag her sharp little mouth, though. A smile tugs at the corner of Cass's mouth.[/section]

[sblock=Perception]1d20+6=8. I had to come up with some kinda reason for the craptacular roll, and ogling "dear Silhouette" works as well as any other. Lemonade from lemons. Or something. :P[/sblock]
 

Armides Diat, human Inquisitor of Asmodeus

Armides almost marches along moving quickly as he tries to find the way to the manor.
(Perception 10) Being the suspicious sort he keeps his longbow, purloined from the Branderscar armory, in hand. Glancing back he sees Lord Nelleon with a weathered plank in his hand. Armides makes a tsk-ing sound and raises a brow in a skeptical stare.

"That won't do. I've a light mace that would be better than an old plank. And a spare longbow plus a bunch of arrows I scavenged. Better armed than not in these surrounding and besides, never know when they will be coming after us." He offers up his spare bow to any who can use it but gives Nelleon first dibs on the mace.

Lord Nelleon takes the mace and tests the balance. After a moment he becomes satisfied, and tosses the makeshift club aside. "Yes, this is a solid weapon. Thank you, Armides. Hopefully we can make a quick escape before anyone notices we're gone, but if I have to smash a few heads in along the way this should do the job."

Surprise Round

You begin your journey through them moors. The map that Armides has has proven to be quite helpful. You seem to be making good time. Everyone is on the lookout for the possibility of guards. What no one is really ready for is something from the moors themselves. These dark, brackish salt marshes team with mosquitos and other buzzing pests. It also appears that these waters hide something a bit bigger.

A giant toad leaps out of the nearby water and attacks Silhouette (Hit AC 21 for 8 damage) and attemps to grab the tiefling (combat maneuver attack 29 vs Silhouette's CMD).

This was the surprise round. No one beat the toad's hide roll (26).

Everyone roll initiative. If you beat a 14 or roll a 14 and your DEX is higher then 13 go ahead and post an action. If you move your token hit return and post the new link for others to use. I will resolve position issues later (because of order conflicts).

Note: Do not worry about map objects such as the boat. This is only meant to show the general area. I found a map that seemed to work for my purposes.

Niles looks behind him to check on Cass when he notices some ripples in the marsh. He figures it is swamp gas as he looks further back and sees more swamp gas bubbles. However, he is wrong and does not know it until after the giant toads jump out of the water.
