IceStorm in Upstate New York

One of the greatest things about springtime weather, at least in the midwest, is when a snowstorm blows through, but within days it's suddenly warm enough to wear short sleeve shirts.

Snowball fights in sunny, 70 degree weather rock.

Dude, I'm just kidding around. Relax.

I'm relaxed. In fact I'm relaxing by the pool with a large cool drink next to me. Typing on my lap top connected to my wireless network while working at home. This is such a hard life.

Warm Regards,

Wow. I grew up in Binghamton (my parents are still there), went to school in Syracuse, and I have a sister who now lives in Rochester.

That was many, many years ago, but it's still cool to see people from my old area :)

My friends and I were camping and hiking in the Laurel Highlands east of Pittsburgh over the weekend, and we got a nice snow and ice storm early Monday morning, making our last day in the great outdoors not so nice. :D

Only 5d6 damage from ice storm, huh? How many HPs do trees have?

I got to enjoy this little ice storm first hand (as well as the one in '91). I lost power on Friday and didn't get it back until Sunday. I'm not complaining, though...a friend of mine was still without power yesterday.

It's an annoying, but not the end of the world.

And we got 4 or 5 inches of snow yesterday.

Bah.

Still, it'll end soon and then we'll have a month or two of nice weather.

Jesus Bears a Grudge Against Blackshirt5

I feel reminded of a time, perhaps 2 months ago, when Blackshirt5 and I had gone to a local pizza place to pick up food for game. It was a 1 1/2 mile walk in the snow and through New Jersey traffic. Well, anyway, on the way there, we pass our local Catholic Church, which happens to be surrounded by snowdrifts, and we usually cut through the parking lot of the church to get to the pizza place. So I hop over the snowdrift all nimble-like, out of the street and onto the sidewalk. Blackshirt, on the other hand, hops up, trips, and ende up knee-deep in slush, in front of a church. Now, being the ungainly irishman he is, he is also usually agile enough to clear a mere snowdrift. So we have come to the conclusion that Jesus() bears a grudge against Blackshirt.:p
