I got to enjoy this little ice storm first hand (as well as the one in '91).

I remember that blizzard.:D Nothing like building a tunnel system in your backyard just to get around.;)

You call this snow? Puh-lease, now the blizzard of 78, THAT was snow... tried to call emergency services but the words froze coming out of my mouth, had 'em shellacked and made bookends out of em, that was a blizzard! Don't even get me started on 1969, weee-doggie, my big brother carried me on his shoulders to a burger place on Hempstead Turnpike (called Wetson's) for my birthday, I called down directions to him because my head poked above the drifts.... lost two staion wagons and a tool shed to that storm, the melting snow just took them along with it...

How many of my fellow EN Worlders got nailed by the ice storm. We went only 2 days without heat/electric, but I know many others that are still out and in worse shape.

Good thing for a blanket and a good book! Also enjoyed Apples to Apples and Settlers with the family.

we got ice, plenty o' ice ... but no power outage.

I had about 1/4-1/2 an inch of ice covering my car ... had fun chippying that away!
