See, I don't see "Spell List" as just meaning all the spells listed in the PHB tables, but any spell that exists in the specific campaign world that is available for that class (and I'm pretty sure someone at WotC clarified it as this too). So a custom spell, or a spell from another sourcebook (like Tome and Blood) would be on the spell lists in my world. Depending on the history of those spells I could see them being commonly known (and the activiation word known to wizards at the Wizard schools 
) or there being zero chance that anyone but the creator knowing it.
