If I buy WotC's Complete books...

CW is great, but there are several things in there that are confusing, misleading, or just plain contradictory. I swear, they should throw every new rule book to the sharks in the rules forum for an hour and let them nitpick the hell out of it before it's released.

He's right... give these people 7 days to "test" the mechanics and any product could be improved.

It's hard to say until they're all out, but I'd say you won't need the splats. Plus, 4 was confirmed byt he Living Greyhawk people in the last couple of weeks...

That being said I'm a little worried that the splats won't update some PrCs that don't need changing, making people who play in canon obsessed things like LG need to retire perfectly good characters, or worse they will and they'll significantly alter them when there was no real need too. For example the alienist class is currently fine, except for needing the DR changed to the new rules. I'm worried they'll update it and make needless irritating changes.

Ultimatelty it won't matter, but it's possible that you might miss some cool stuff becuae it doesn't need an update.
