if you could run or play in ANY campaign RIGHT now...

Exalted.

I've had a few start and stop campaigns and I own a lot of the books and it's a great world with a lot of potential for epic role playing and action.

Love D&D and will probably be using the Black Company as a campaign setting soon but if it's ANY campaign, I'd take the Extaled because it's the least likely to be done...

Play: Currently involved in a Scarred Lands campaign and have absolutely no complaints. Although I hear the setting is on it's way out. :(

Run: Eberron - but then I am getting a chance to do that. One happy gamer here. :)

The nice thing about our Eberron game is that it allows us the flexibility to have players miss sessions with the airship set-up. I personally love the inherent intrigue in the setting.

A good session of Paranoia here and there and I'd be all set.

A Metamorphosis Alpha style game...
I loved that game*! I've thought about running this for d20 Modern/Future somewhere down the line, too.

It's a little frustrating sometimes - so many campaign ideas, so little time to play!

*...and Heinlein's story as well.

An over-the-top fantastical d20 Al-Qadim. That would so rock.

Or, Masque of the Red Death. Either version, though I haven't seen S&SS's version.

Something else that might be cool is Spycraft rules mixed with MechWarrior rules to create a role-playing/mech combat combination. I have heard of a hybrid mechwarrior/Cyberpunk combination before, too.

You could always play Star Wars D20.

Thieves World, but why wait? I have the old TW books and they are as good and useful today as they were back then. I have campaign and character notes from past games, and laminated maps of the city and sewers. I so want to run a TW game, but alas I have no players who want to...... :(

*considers moving to Ohio just to play in this game* :D

I just started running a homebrew game, and that's what I''ve wanted to run for a LONG time, so thats my choice for running.

For playing, I'd really like to play in an Eberron game.

1) A Metamorphosis Alpha style game crossed with The Starlost for it's Earthship Ark layout. Basically, Gamma World type science fantasy about humans, mutants, and androids who live aboard a giant starship after a disaster that mutated some and caused most to lose their knowledge of technology.......Basically, you've got a big dungeon in space with a built-in quest (fix the ship and get it back under control). Superscience takes the role of magic while mutant humans, mutant animals, and androids take the place of elves, dwarves, and halflings.

That reminds me that I really want to run MA again, as I haven't played it for two decades now! (alarming that its so long).

Apart from that I want to get back to running:
1. My Wilderlands campaign using D&D 3.5
2. Conan RPG in Vendhya, Afgulistan and Hyrkania
3. an Iron Lords of Jupiter game from the Dungeon.

Playing:
1. Conan in my brothers Pictland campaign

OD&D(1974) is the only true game. All the other editions are just poor imitations of the real thing. :D
Play: OD&D with Diaglo, Forgotten Realms (or better yet Greyhawk) with Olgar, Plus some other homebrew campaigns I hear about on these boards.

Run: A 3.5 Homebrew/Greyhawk.
