I'm DMing for a bunch of Tourists!

Man, that is a DM's dream come true ;)

Of course, there's the odd ruin or two they come across. You could have a storm that drives them into the haunted castle, the village dealing with a werewolf or the whole place has become possessed. They could escort someone from one place to another if their plans are revealed to someone, etc.

Not that I'm actually complaining. ;)

Yet again, the ranger/cleric, who has the most drive in the party, has persuaded the others to travel deep into the wilderness and see some interesting places - just because they are there.

Yes, I'm pretty happy with this group...

I've just thought of something: They come across a tribe of orcs barring their way. Being the diplomatic sorts, they will probably try to talk their way out of this.

The assembled orcs demand that "their leader" fight their champion. If the PC wins... the orcs will accept them, drag them off to a celebration, where the winning PC will realize that he has just been married to the chieftain's daughter...

So, how will the PC weasel out of the wedding night? Will he even want to? And into what kinds of trouble will it get them if they have been adopted into a tribe of orcs?

Any suggestions on how to expand this scenario?

I always steal my best ideas and plots from video games. Your orc plot brings Suikoden II to mind. You could start something very big indeed...

If you don't know Suikoden II(or are just fresh out of ideas), PM me and I'll help you spread evilness amongst your players. :]

and the orcish bride gets orcnapped on the eve of their nuptuals....or poisoned in a raid by a rival tribe or...a group of adventurers out for sport....
