I'm Tired of Hearing About Deep-Fried Turkeys...

Personally, I can't stand propane grills- perhaps its my imagination or perhaps I'm overly sensitive, but food cooked over propane always tastes funny to me.

I will pretend I did not hear that.

Propane, propane accessories.

I don't mind gas for grilled things, like hamburger, hotdogs, and steak. I prefer charcoal for everything else.

That's because you're probably not tasting the excessive lighter fluid someone used to light up the charcoal... ;)

Part of the trick of a gas grill is to not keep it too clean... Consider those crusty carbon chunks in the bottom as "flavor crystals". :p

Since I'm the one doing the lighting...

I have to say that I'm not usually using too much lighter fluid, if I may say so myself. I generally try to keep from singeing my eyebrows, for instance.

And I generally succeed.

I will, however, confess that when I was learning to grill, I once used so much lighter fluid I created a plume of fire large enough that it started a religion.;)
