clerics

I'm most disappointed in clerics. I don't mind at all that they're not the über-class anymore, but I don't like that they've gone even further than 3E away from having deity-specific flavor.

Agreed.

Warlocks come in three distinct flavors.

Wizards have enough different at-will spells that any two are unlikely to be identical.

Clerics are either Wisdom or Strength, and that determines both of their at-will powers. So there are exactly two kinds of Cleric.

The fighters overall power selection was ok, but there was way to few specific weapon group powers. In other words, let us say I want to create a spear wielder... I think there is one.. or two powers that has spear as a keyword. Not too impressive...

I understand the sentiment, I just think there wasn't really enough room in the PH to have deity specific flavored clerics. I fully expect to see that sort of thing placed in the Divine Powers sourcebook whenever that comes out. That would be the perfect place to have deity specific powers, feats, paragon paths as well as epic destinies.

I'm mostly dissapointed with Wizards. Although there are several possible combinations of at will powers and encounter powers. They start to look pretty similar, especially if it's a human wizard.

This won't stop me wanting to play one, as I like a roleplaying challenge.

I will be interested in seeing how 4th edition develops, with PHB2, the swordmage from Forgotten Realms players handbook and hopefully an arcane sourcebook.

Clerics have become a little bland, great healers though. I found Turning Undead, was not as effective as it used to be, but radiant damage is good.

But hopefully the Cleric will be enhanced with a Divine sourcebook and the Warlock (which i liked) will get more Pacts in an Arcane sourcebook.

Cleric and Wizard.

Nerfed so much both are just plain vanilla. Not alot of depth and breath to them.

I expect they will get more depth and options in further sourcebooks but for core, they are just .... well, bland for my tastes.

Warlock, purely because I'm disappointed that the Paragon paths have such little applicability for multiclassing.
