Imroved Rapid Shot - too good?

Does 'anything' have a DR 15/- before epic?

Assuming you can stack DR of the /- type:

A mummified (Savage Species, LA+4) human Psychic Warrior 10(XPH)/Pious Templar 3(CD)
It has the Greater Resilience feat (CW) that makes his natural DR 6/-.
Add the Pious Templar of DR 1/- (DR 7/- so far)
Add a Dwarven Plate (DMG) armor that gives an extra 3/- (DR 10/- so far)
Manifest Inertial Barrier (XPH) that gives an extra DR 5/- (DR 15/-)

Total ECL: 17, not epic

Of course that's supposing every one of those stack with the rest. I can see the Templar, mummified and Greater Resilience feat working well together. I have my doubts about the other two however. Also, it relies on updating the mummified template to 3.5, but I guess that it would change the Resistant to Blows special ability for DR 5/-, the same as the mummy on 3.5.

If you're willing to allow savage species... there's a feat in there that just flat out gives 2/- damage reduction, which you can take multiple times and stacks with whatever other damage reduction you may have (forget what it's called right now). I had a dwarven defender who was taking that, and easily could hit around 18/- by 18th level, and that doesn't even have to assume that x/- DR stacks (which I think by the rules does not, even though I think it should).

Your little SS feat is called Roll With It, IIRC!
But wasn't this topic about improved rapid shot, I think the feat is ok as it is written.

Since it doesnt unless it specifically says that you can then it doesnt unless it says so

The savage species feat is Roll With It, and it is very nice indeed. Although, it requires taking toughness and having a con of at least 20, So that isnt very likely to get most characters any DR.

Although, with it you could stack some classes DR with a gnome/dwarf for an extra +12/-.. so a gnome/dwarf barb could have up to 17/- by spending all of their feats on it..

I was going more for something that actually might be encountered

But yes, the thread is about improved rapid shot, although it sounds like it is ok.
