No. I decided Gruumsh was the World of Greyhawk incarnation of the Sauron, since he has the same symbol. I also decided that Iuz was the son of Sauron, not some random demon nobody ever heard of.

Ditto. The first product that I remember that mentioned either seemed to imply that, though. Don't remember if that was 1e or 2e years. Either way, I had already wandered away from D&D.
