Incantrix + Irresistable Spell

Same reason you wrote "Seriouly" instead of "Seriously" above. People make spelling errors. It's sad (esp. for me, speaking as an English teacher) but true.

It's not an accidental spelling error. It's not a typo (and mine clearly was). It seems that a huge number of people think the class is actually called Incantrix. There was one typo in one official book that used that name, and it seems to have stuck in people's brains. I'm just trying to get folks to come around and correct it.

The class is IncanTAtrix, or IncanTAtar.

A particular 12th level Kobold Egoist is very broken. This is only kinda broken, in comparison.

I would say this is totally broken. It passes the Wraithstrike/Divine Metamagic test where it ruins your game more than those benchmarks (and what's worse--it synergises with Divine Metamagic--egads!). Another good rule of thumb--if you use this as a GM with a level-appropriate NPC in playtest and all the players die without a chance 5/5 times you playtest it because there is nothing they can do to stop it, it's probably broken (you should playtest one or two other situations with it first before ruling for sure, but even that one is another to keep out a watchful eye).

With the easy metamagic and arcane avatar, it's only a 1 slot bump. Now, taking atcane thesis for my favorite spells....>

Death Ward? Spell immunity? One of the downsides is that using this kind of magic, your name spreads fast, giving every NPC who thinks he's bad "Lets go after that one mage guy. I have a hat of Antimagic field."

So...yeah.

I was thinking about using the irresistable spell feat from Kingdoms of Kalamar (opponents automatically fail their saves vs. your spells, metamagic feat 4 levels higher spell slot)

Actually that's not what it is anymore; the feat has been changed.

You dastard! Now I'm going to ttle to the other mods--you aren't fostering a healthy habit for discussion of Incantrixes. This sort of retaliation is a simple " for t" strategy. Just think of diaglo--now he can only say that "Everything else is just a pale imition." When Hypersmurf and Henry gang up on you and rip your repution into tters, your epith will read: "He never hesited to pay the price for a good laugh"
