Since we're talking Warlocks, I'm going to assume you have access to Complete Arcane. Page 72, "Feats and weapon-like spells".

A warlock's blast is a ranged attack that is "weapon-like".

I don't think extending that to an effect like a Soul-meld is too unreasonable. This technically is houserule territory... as Complete Arcane predates Magic of Incarnum.

So, can you Sunder a Warlock's Eldritch Blast then?

thank you all for your replies, I think i have a better grasp now why my DM said no to it the first time around, however with your discussion he may be more willing to allow its use, I'll ask him next session if he doesn't reply here first if i can use it or not.
