You may only polymorph a creature into another standard creature, no templates, advancement, or modifications. Polymorphing him into a human would cause the loss of all of his SU abilities and give him average physical stats for a human, as well as impose as -2 to all rolls (more or less) in stressfulsituations unless he makes a will save.
LokiDR has hit the nail on the head (50 points).
The player wants to have a bigger Smurf-neblin (med. size), I would assume for the speed, & damage bonus. I think he's decided that he'll take the Dragon Deciple path, & just wanted to see if there was a way that didn't require him to take 6 levels to get there (1 lvl Sorc. & 5 lvls Drag. Dec.).
I was thinking along the same lines as LokiDR, have a custom 5 or 3 level PrC. Probably 3 levels, along the same lines as The Survivor PrC.
"Adapter"
Hit Die: d6
Prerequisites:
Feats: Toughness, Base Willpower save of +6 (or better)
Special - (to enter the prestige class only): The character must stay in one place & spend all his waking hours in meditation for a period of 30 days. At the beginning of this meditation period (day 1) the character must make a Willpower save DC 20, if the character is successful he/she has the mental focus required to enter the month long period of meditation. If the save fails the Character must level as in an alternate class & attempt to enter this prestige class when he/she has enough experience to level again. If the save was successful & the month of meditation is completed the character must make a second Willpower save DC 20 to properly focus the energies of his body for the daunting task ahead. If the second willpower save fails the body has not properly focused itself & the Character must level as in an alternate class & attempt to enter this prestige class when he/she has enough experience to level again (& the character must preform the full 30 meditation trail all over again).
*Once the "Adapter" has started his progression in the prestige class he may not falter from it, the progression must be seen through to the end (all levels 1, 2 & 3 with no other classes to be taken in the midst of "Adapter" progression). If the character strays from the "Adapter" path before its completion he/she may never return to complete the Prestige Class.
**Monks may freely multi-class as an "Adapter", though they gain no monk bonuses through this class.
Class Skills
The "Adapter" can spend his skill points to purchase any skills that any of his previous classes have made available as a class skill (though not exclusive skills), or any skill that is eligible as a cross class skill. The "Adapter does not add new skills to a characters list of class skills.
