Increasing size

1/2 Ogre was updated to LA +2 for 3.5 in Races of Destiny.

Besides, I think the OP wants to get a human character to large size...

Wouldnt you say a 9 ft human would be large?

No. To me, size category is more about overall body mass than one particular dimension. The minimum Large creature in the rules is assumed to be over 8 feet tall, 4 feet wide and thick, and over 500 pounds.

A 9 foot tall human is going to easily weigh 500 pounds. Robert Wadlow was 8' 11" tall and 490 pounds, and he was slender.

Races of Faerun (3.0) has the Jotunbrud feat, which is essentially 'powerful build'. Again, it won't make you Large.

The feat is also explicitly referenced for player creation in 3.5's PGtF so I take it to be legitimate in 3.5 too.

Looking at the above, the simplest option is probably going to be getting a 9th level wizard to cast Enlarge Person on you, then a Permanency - 3,040gp. As I said above, you run the risk of this being Dispelled or otherwise suppressed or negated.

So if my character was enlarged through a spell with permancy he would then qualify for warhulk. If it was then dispelled lets say after he took two levels of warhulk would he then lose the warhulk class? Or would he just not be allowed to progress further?

I would imagine he would lose any War Hulk class related abilities until he got another Enlarge Person cast on him. Maybe stock up on Potions of Enlarge Person just in case.

So he would lose all the bonuses to strength or just the special attacks? Or everything?
Per the CW16 rule, he would keep his proficiencies, hit dice/points, BAB, saves and such like from Warhulk levels, but lose everything else.

On the bright side, he'd get it all back as soon as he was enlarged again.
