Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny

Great, get him to put a few hundred lines of dialogue in the can while he's still kicking and they'll be able to keep churning these out decades after he's gone.
With deep fakes, they don't even need to do that. The super-awkward Luke Skywalker dialogue in Boba Fett was all computer generated. The next iteration will be much, much better.

I think it's silly to not recast Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford is one of four actors to play him so far), but with deep fakes, we soon won't need to, so long as Disney pays for his likeness rights.

Reports differ on that, some are more along the lines of the computer being used to de-age Hamill's voice to sound like it did back in the original trilogy. So far, audio fakery isn't quite up there with visual fakery, especially when it comes to delivering an emotional performance, but yes, it will probably get there.

I have a hard time thinking it won't, given how far it's come and how fast. (The voice is actually by the guy who runs the channel, and isn't representative of what deep fake voices can do. Just a general example of how scary good deep fakes are as of 2022.)

Just saw this on Facebook:
