Infinite Bonus power points?

I posted this on WoTC;s board but I'm gonna ask here to...

Someone in a group I am associated with has made the contention that the Bonus Power Points chart extend infintely in both directions.

I can see where it states that it continues infintely in the Stat direction but not in level direction. Does the epic psion comment that 'psions continue to gain bonus power points' mean that the chart expands in the level direction also? It seems to me that this would get out of hand at around 30th level. You'd have more BPP than you knew what to do with. Can anyone point me to a faq, errata clarification, anything to shoot this down? I play psions but this seems ... well, ridiculous isn't strong enough.


On a side note the srd doesn't state this specifically - do levels across classes stack for BPP. Does a Psion 10, Metamind 10 get 20th level BPP or two sets of 10th lvl BPP?

I wouldn't worry about it too much. The game was generally built around a 20 level system with epic levels being exactly that: epic. To get into levels like 30 is just overpowering beyond control imo.

Iirc, the Epic-level HB specifies that your bonus PPs top out at 20th level (though the chart does extend indefinitely for ability scores).

It would extend infinitely in both directions, but it's worth remembering that as you get higher in level, you stop getting more bonus points for the same score-- you have to increase your score as well.

A Cleric with a 12 Wisdom gets a single 1st level bonus spell-- whether he's first level or 60th. Psions' Bonus chart is constructed in roughly the same fashion.
