Doll's Eyes (Actaea pachypoda)

This weird-toy-looking plant is very poisonous. Berries of doll's eyes are highly poisonous, as well as all other parts is considered poisonous to humans. The berries contain cardiogenic toxins which can have an immediate sedative affect on human cardiac muscle tissue, and are the most poisonous part of the plant. Ingestion of the berries can lead to cardiac arrest and death.

re: a Human, cordyceps fungus ... shudder

re: Doll's Eyes ... food for thought for some libus mortus stuff ...

Edit:
I am told that in the jungles of indonesia there are ledgends of true man eating plants, but are actually a variety of the venus fly trap that offers a nice comfy if not small bed to rest on while leaves slowly wrap around the victum, such as a small jungle deer, and then using enzomes it will digest its entraped food, not unilike the venus fly trap.
