Inspirational Fantasy Movies

First Post
As part of my preparation for running a Greyhawk AD&D 1st Ed game for the first time in 10 years, I've taken to breaking out the classic fantasy films for inspiration.

I have my own Top Ten, and was wondering what others might have in theirs. In no particular order...

Hawk the Slayer
The Sword and the Sorceror
The Golden Voyage of Sinbad
Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger
LOTR Trilogy
Conan the Barbarian
Dragonslayer
Legend
Labyrinth
Beastmaster

I would love to hear others' thoughts on fantasy films!

Excalibur
King Arthur
Conan the Destroyer
Red Sonja
Krull

And hey, I'm not saying these are *good* choices!

My actual top ten of actual good movies would take more time than I have right this moment, to come up with.

The Warrior and the Sorceress
Barbarian Queen
Troy
The Scorpion King
Van Helsing

Plus most of those already listed above.

Ohh and Conquest. I have a small nation on my homebrew world that is taken from that film.

Not a movie, but well worth watching for ideas. The old Robin of Sherwood tv series, which is both great for story ideas and also for seeing an adventuring party (the Merry Men) living and working together.

Documentary:
Dragons: A Fantasy Made Real

Movies:
Clash of the Titans
Merlin
The 7th Voyage of Sinbad
The Last Unicorn
Ladyhawke
Dragonslayer
The Mists of Avalon
Dragonheart

I was just watching Dragonheart, and it's a lot cheesier and, um... worse... than I remember it being. Still, after watching it, I pretty much created an NPC based off Dennis Quaid's character (A role I personally love to play).

No one's mentioned Gladiator yet? For shame! For Shame!

The Neverending Story... just the first one, though. :)
Labyrinth
Willow
The Princess Bride
Highlander
Rob Roy
Braveheart
Monti Python ik den Holie Grailen

Well, these aren't classics, but the Sinbad/Hercules/Xena TV block does great wonders for the imagination, too
