Interest in a Detroit Gameday?

Well, the dates are still tied up. 3 each for the 17th and 31st and 6 for both (Kender42 changed his mind).

With it tied, I'd argue to have it on the 31st to give the GMs a little more time to prepare.

I'll go ahead and finalize the 31st as the date this evening unless there are any persuasive aguements for having it on the 17th.

OK folks, I'm back!!!!

Josh sent me an email mentioning that this topic had arisen once again, and I can speak for at least four people who'd be up for a Detroit Gameday. Heck, depending on the date, I'll even run a game or two :D.

Give me a couple of days to settle back into the groove here at EN World, and then I will be a driving force in helping to make this event occur. I hope this message after months of being absent finds you all well, and I look forward to meeting those of you I don't know (which may represent everyone outside of JD) at the Gameday!

Actually, the rough stuff you had in your background was pretty tame compared to some of the others, it's just that KnowTheToe did more with it than anyone else. The other rough stuff you had; nearly getting killed by that imp in the church, were based on decisions you made (to go check it out alone) so I can't really help you there.

In other words, I don't know how I'd even it out any more, because it's too player dependent.

Actually, Josh, I had the dwarf following behind me -- then he left. It was having the background stuff and the whole love in peril, lover is not what she seems thing. (Of course, I do think if you run the scenario again, maybe make some minor tweaks to the character sheets. I did have fun.)

If I may make a suggestion, someone should bring or design nametags. NeghVar designed some very nice ones for the EN World Gathering at Gen Con a year ago.

It might also be a good idea to have a quick game for people to play between events. Joshua Dyal designed something called D02. In past Chicago Gamedays, we have had games of Zombie and of Fluxx, a card game. Both were fun.

Giving this thread a bump.

If no one else has it, I could bring Munchkin for people to play between events.

I've got Kobolds Ate My Baby, Chez Geek, and even Giant Monster Rampage to add into the mix of available games if there's interest. KAMB in particular is a laugh riot!!

Well, I didn't design it, I just stole it from Teh Clawring Crab over on RPG.net. I plan on walking around the corner to Taco Bell between events, personally. :)
