Pathfinder 1E INTEREST/RECRUIT - TIDERULER - THE FALL OF LAHOLT (HIGH-LEVEL CHARS)

[roll0] - figures :( And it is not nice using staggered instead of stunning just because you see my sheet :)

I use staggered because it lasts longer than 1 round and it prevents full attacks. You already unleashed a full attack on me and it wasn't pretty. Seeing your sheet is just a bonus.

I need to go to bed.

As you stand I use immediate action to spend 1 ki for Formless Mastery +4 ab +4 ac +12 dmg
AoO Trip [roll0] 19 +2 +2 -2 +4
Fort DC 26 [roll1]

So you are not tripped and I am not nauseated. Or technically the bite misses so I didn't have to save. But whatever.

What is formless mastery? You're not the one who should complain about overpowered, you get +4 to hit, +4 to AC and +12 to damage :)
Assuming you pass stunning fist save in round 2 you win

Combat Recap:
Kobold 155HP (or 143 if 6 per level which is used here for balance)
Monk 159HP

R1
Monk Trip (1d20+21)[34] +2 for 36 vs CMD 31 (kobold tripped) 17 damage
Kobold 126/143

Kobold is prone, full attack
(hits with bite (39-4) claw 2 (44-5) for 18 + 24 + 11 = 52 +1 acid damage
Monk passed nauseate DC 26, but is intimidated (needed 21, rolled 34 ==> 3 rounds total)
Monk 106/159

R2
Monk six attacks (shaken, against prone)
28, 25, 39 (25 damage), 36 (29 damage), 39 (36 damage), 27
Kobold: 36/143

Kobold stand up (OA misses), activate bodywrap, stunning bite (hits AC 35) 23 damage
Monk: 83/143 Fort DC 26 (rolled 26 barely managed (you again didn't include shaken penalty) )
Needs to roll DC 22 vs stunning fist (if you fail, you die) <-- this comes before round 3

R3
six attacks again
39 (20 +3), 30 (18 +1), 31 (14+6)
Kobold: -6 on second attack, heals 10 immediately and is dropped again with third attack
Even with 155 HP I'd be at -14 after third attack and healing would prevent insta-kill, but would not keep him in combat.

It's actually only effective when your opponent is in a stance of a style feat. You opened with the boar stance and never stopped using stances. Against non-fighter-types, it probably is a waste to take it. I only notice the stance requirement during our fight. :)

I also needed to spend one more ki point to get the extra full bab attack in the third round.

Aw, I missed the fight. I have a sheet, but I stupidly left it at home when I traveled, and so it's not on my laptop. I'll recreate it here, but it'll take a little time. I'll post it up as soon as I've got it.

Oh, and my combat contribution:

I cast Harm, then Quickened Searing Ray.

Done.

:p

Resisted. Resisted. You're dead.
In monks case probably Resisted. Avoided entirely :)

Yes, we know casters rule. Isn't harm touch spell? Would you really come into melee reach?

I'm an Oracle. I can do melee. Also, your resistance isn't assured. Spell pen and greater spell pen. :)

But in all seriousness, yes, I am nowhere near the optimization machine y'all are.

Plus, I prepared Heal, not Harm. So nyah.

I'm not optimized. I spent 5 feats for story reasons. They give me options and wing attacks and flight. But having finesse, dex focus, taking specialisation and more condition inflicting things would be optimized.

Items are far from it. Monk is better equipped, more focused.
