Into Khybers Gate

"Illegal? That is a hard thing to determine. The laws of Sharn change often so it is hard to tell from one day to the next what is allowed and what is forbidden. Some cultures outlaw certain herbs and others embrace them. Who am I to say what is and is not legal. I do carry certain items that often fall under one term or the other."

"That sounds like a reasonable way to take things, especially all the way down here. What we are speaking of involves Dragon's Blood, though hopefully you can tell that we are far from the addict who pestered you just now." replies Bloodtalon.

[sblock=ooc]I'm back... Life got really crazy with the new job and the holidays. Thanks for NPCing my character. Do you mind if I take back over?[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]Welcome back byronhicks :) dont remember if Johanel came into the shop with us or not, though I'd assume hes right there with Sedar and Bloodtalon.[/sblock]

Cask smirks a little. "Ahh, I see now. Some enterprising towerlings are interested in going into business for themselves eh? You obviously have no idea what you're asking after. He lowers his voice almost reverently."Dragons Blood is created deep within the Droaam. They say it is brewed by the Sisters themselves, hags of unprecedanted power. Empresses of the nation. Their secrets are clutched tightly and none ever slip free. If you seek the formula for Dragons Blood you'll have to pluck it from their gnarled fingers yourselves."

Welcome back Byronhicks, he's all yours. The group stopped and rested so if you choose you can change up your spell list or keep it the same for today. He's with the group now inside the shop.

"Its not that we want the formula for Dragon's Blood. We have heard that you have the ability to transmute it into a solid state. That is what we are looking for. We don't want the blood and we dont want to know how to make it, just how to transmute it." replies Bloodtalon. Have I overstepped myself? Hopefully the others are ready if this turns ugly.

Cask immediately stops smiling at the mention of his smuggling method. The iron dog, sensing its masters shift in mood, changes its stance to be ready to rush forward at its masters command. Even the wright working at the alchemy table sets aside its experiments to watch. "That knowledge is known to only a few, and none of them whelps from the upper towers. Keep your hands clear of your belts, where I can see them. You were fools to come here, Daask rules these streets and knows to protect their interests. Tell me who sent you, no I can guess, The Boromar Clan."

Know. Local DC12
[SBLOCK]
The Boromar Clan is a massive criminal organization with a stranglehold on smuggling operations in Sharn. They go largely unchecked by the Watch, the city guards. They are composed by all races but halflings feature prominently, especially the more powerful members.

Know. Local DC15
[SBLOCK]
Daask is a lesser known criminal organization composed primarly of powerful monstrous immigrants from Droaam. They often clash with the Boromar clan but despite their much smaller size, the clan has been largely unsuccessful. Daask engages in violent crimes such as assassination, armed robberies, and muggings. Their presence can be felt throughout Khyber's Gate.

Johanel just arrived in Sharn, and has no local knowledge.

Sensing the tension in the air, Johanel moves his hands where everyone can see them. He starts going over the incantations for a magic missile in his head so that he can cast it if things get rough.

[sblock=ooc]Johanel readies magic missile. If things get violent, he will shoot the dog.[/sblock]
