The return trip to the surface is harrowing as the hour grows late. More monsters roam the streets and you often have to backtrack to avoid the larger, more dangerous looking groups. The city streets reverberate with distant cries, howls, and roars. Though none of the monsters impede your escape, a few leer hungrily in your direction.
Sticking to the larger streets you eventually make it back to the Blackbones district and the elevator that will take you back to Lower Tavick's Landing. You feel a sense of relief as the platform ascends from the depths at last. The landing is not nearly as busy now that the evening is falling. Most of the caravans that have not made it into the city would now be setting up camp for the night. Across the platforms you spot something that triggers a memory. A gnome is standing near the lightning rail disembarking platform carrying a bouquet of flowers. You remember your employer, Crei Ahkran, saying that he would have a contact waiting for you for when you returned with Cask's secrets.
