Introducing DM Minion 2.0

Are .monster files produced by the old (downloadable) monster builder? Is there a way to export such files from the online monster builder?

Yes. The .Monster files are the old format from offline export. Copy/Paste from the online tools text is in development.

This here's your problem.

Apple is now the largest seller of personal computers in the world. Windows only just doesn't cut it anymore.

Kzach, I don't have any plans to support MACs at this time, I use this as a personal tool and offer it to others that may want to use it. I don't make any money on this product and only work on it my spare time. I just don't have the resources to support multiple platforms.

Version 3 may be a web based silver light version that will be cross platform compliant, but i don't have any plans to make a Apple thick client.

Thanks you for your interest.

another update

I have posted another update with a few changes.

Change log
2.0.22 Changes
Added Autosave feature. Now when you create an adventure you create the .adventure file. Once created anytime you add a Player, Monster or Encounter Entity the .adventure file is update with the change. It also auto saves in a battle each time you press the Next button and at the end of a battle when the End button is pressed.
Added Action type to powers (standard, move, minor, interrupt)
Added Recharge options to monster powers. You can now select the dice required for a recharge roll.
If combat, if a monster has a used, rechargeable ability a roll is made for its recharge, if more than one used rechargeable ability is present a roll is made and a message pops up to manually recharge one ability
Recharge dice rolls are shown on the monster power information
Updated power information to show added power type on combat and camp screens

2.0.24 has been posted with these small changes

2.0.24 Changes
Fixed bug where autosave would not invoke after editing a player or monster, then pressing the save button
Added edit power ability for monsters and pcs
Added current actor for better damage and healing logging
Changed the combatant detail on the battle view to be the current combatant unless changed via the drop down
fixed extended rest bug to remove dead/bloodied conditions properly.

2.0.27 has been released with these changes:

Fixed an issue where some dnd4e file would cause a crash. If any file fails to import you now get an error instead of a crash. Some files from the offline character builder are being generated with invalid xml, importing these into the online builder and re-exporting them seems to clear these up.
Fixed bug where monster initiative was getting set to 0 if Roll Single Initiative was enabled and the monster was added using the Quick Add feature
Added tool tips to represent keyboard input options on the damage and healing area
emapped the F-Keys for the damage, healing, and temp hp buttons to be in the same order as they are on screen
more logging tweaks
Added option so save combat log at end of combat
added auto save to invoke when processing an extended rest
added name of condition next to icon on the remote view
