Intrusive Ads

Have to agree. Usually don't mind the ads but those ones are terrible. Especially since once you patiently wait for them to give your phone back and click the "X" to dismiss them, a short time later they reload and take over your phone again.

I used to have adblock, then got rid of it. In practice the number of sites that were blocked with a "please whitelist us" was more troublesome than the ads. I had trouble getting the whitelist function to work on multiple occasions. So when I switched computers I didn't bother.

The pop up expansion ads may change that for me.

They haven't changed in the last couple of years, and they are necessary to keep this place open.

However, a community supporter account gets rid of them completely, and also allows you to help support the site and the community! It costs less than a cup of coffee.

With respect, I’ve had this exact conversation a LOT of times so rest assured I am fully apprised of all the arguments and have nothing further to add (and don’t have the bandwidth to engage in another debate about it). If that means you feel you have to leave, we’ll be sorry to see you go, but it is what it is and I feel I need to be as clear as possible. :)
