Invasion by who or what

I have question about what type of creature would be good to use for invasion plot, besides robots, aliens, zombies, mutants, demons or any others that have been done so many times before? What type of creature can be used that is different and not be done before?

Since you failed to give a setting style (I am assuming it's Sci-Fi) I would go with another galactic/planetary entity or an evil corporation that has an ordinary product that most people already wither own or purchase on a regular basis. For example Sluggy Freelance a web comic has a company that is an evil genetic engineering laboratory and also has a pizza company for a front organization.

If it's not a Sci-Fi campaign I say drow, you can never go wrong with a drow invasion or maybe sahuagin, lizard men or bullywugs.

Gnomes.

I'd love to see a story that deals with a war between, Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes, and Humans all over the world.

Who says we all have to get along? That's just unrealistic and implausible. Because often, interests collide, and when interests collide without any real solution, the only solution is to fight until one man standing.

And often, xenophobic tendencies, especially in the human race, tend to get in the way of peace and harmony.
