Invisible Blade's Uncanny Feint as a Free Action

I'm not sure that they were put together with an eye toward sneak attacks on more than 60% of their attacks
"More often than not" (or "most of the time;" not sure which was the exact quote) so probably yes, depending on how much more than 60% you're talking about.
And a prestige class with Sneak Attack enabling abilities should obviously get even more than that. 'cause it's kind of its point.

it always seemed to me that they were built to rely upon either surprise or teamwork to be at their best, though.
Definitely. One of the main sources for Sneak Attacks is flanking. Which requires an ally.

Too me sneak attacks are just that "sneaky"

you either nail a target who is not aware of you(surprise), off balance(flat footed), or in combat with someone else(flank).

Feint causes someone to become off-balance letting you get in a good hit.

The invisible blade class is suppose to be the blow that you never saw.

I believe it was the intention of the design when reading the fluff that this wouldn't be a flurry of attacks but one well placed blow that the target didnt see or expect.

That is why I like the Swift action. You get one attack that gets sneak damage plus you get your other attacks during a full attack action. The one that the target didnt expect cost him his life.

I am changing it to intermediate action because I like the idea of the Invivisble blade not being a percieved threat and the enemy ignored him and runs by thinking a dagger isnt going to do much damage if he can even hit me, but that was during the moment the blade strikes, plunging his dagger into a kidney or something.

Why flank? if you can just keep rolling "free" bluff checks for all your attacks, and reroll when you fail till you succeed. A DM can say you have a limit to one bluff "feint" per attack, but I prefer the flavor or the swift and intermediate actions for this ability.

You dont have to use it, I just thought it was a good idea and works Great n my games and the players like it that use IBs before.

The author of the class has stated that one feint per attack is the intention.

At least the enemy's BAB bonus is added to its Sense Motive check to counter the Bluff check.

Until the rogue buys/finds/asks someone to craft a choker of eloquence from Complete Adventurer, then you're back to square one.

Invisible blade= Uber rogue.

Who is the Author? And did he really write this class without understanding the Feint rules? I suppose I should find that hard to believe.

SonofaPreacherman.

He took the line "To feint, make a Bluff check opposed by your target’s Sense Motive check, but in this case, the target may add its base attack bonus to the roll along with any other applicable modifiers.", and read it as "along with any other applicable modifiers to base attack bonus" instead of "along with any other applicable modifiers to Sense Motive".

In other words, all the things you'd normally add to an attack roll.

Well, it seems he changed his mind.

The Invisible Blade presented in his website lists the Uncanny Feint as a swift action.

Egres, what website is that? I would be curious to see, since we are playing with it as a swift action at the moment and it is working quite well. Any other changes?

Interesting... the level 10 ability is pretty much an Intermediate action as well.

I prefer 5 level prestige classes but it is good to know that my changes on the class matches up with the designers.

I do like the prereq changes he made as well, so I will incorporate those into my HR version.

thanks for the link!
