Ioun stones & more

DMG 3.5 260 has the Ioun Stones listing, and while in a foot note it says stones will burn out turn dull grey and become forever useless, they dont list a price, and they're not on the table. It actually seems to sugest they don't do anything, let alone fly. But as has been the case many a time, I may be on the wrong page.

That's a change in 3.5. Every previous edition (1, 2, 3) has had the "dull gray" one on the table. Lots of us will still be thinking about that.

The XPH still notes that a psionic manifester can get 1 power point out of a dull grey stone which then destroyed. If a stone has to fly to be used then I'd guess dull greys can fly. It doesn't however list a cost for them.
