For me, it was curiosity. I wanted to see what Mearls had cooked up for this book. I wasn't disappointed, but I don't really plan on running IH anytime soon.

That was actually related to the DM's campaign metaphysics. In the setting he used, elements didn't oppose each other in a cross pattern, but in a wheel. iwatt said:I agree. My DnD games have gotten to the point that no PC wants to walk out without a ring of protection, an amulet of natural armor and a cloak of resistance. They then concentrate on keeping these itmes upgraded (i.e the adventuring becomes necessary to finance continual item upgrading).
