Thanks for help, Scion! I gave ogrun back their reach and calrified that they gain proficiency in polearms.
I reackon you're right about a character being forced to take 'humanoid levels' (d8 hp, cleric attack, 2 skp...hey, it is a cleric!) balances out some power for many of these guys
Oathbound is perhaps more of a disadvantage; it means that when the ogrun swears an oath of fealty, it is treated as a lesser geas.
