It's an amazing book, one of the best ever produced. All of the creators involved in its birth should be rewarded and praised by gamers the world over.

What? :)

I felt like I had to say something due to the lack of responses. For me, Iron Kingdoms has become my second most favorite setting I've ever seen, and I've seen them all (or at least the D&D ones). I was extremely excited about the World Guide and Character Guide's releases, and I was not disappointed. You might be familiar with Monsternomicon, either from the rave reviews or from personal experience, and Privateer Press has easily lived up to that quality. I'm constantly day dreaming about new ideas for their setting, and I'm more jazzed about running games for Iron Kingdoms then any other game, besides my most favorite one. I highly, highly recommend it; the only complaint I have is that there isn't more material out for IK. Fortunately, if you check their website, Privateer Press just showed off the next sourcebook, and I'm all giddy.

Two thumbs up from me.

What's the first?

Uh.... Shadowrun. I hesitated to say that in case people would dismiss me, thinking "Oh he just has a gun & fantasy fetish!" Which isn't true! At all!

What's wrong with a gun and fantasy fetish? It brings me great joy, especially when coupled with steam tech.

My response about the World Guide may have been short, but it was heart felt, I have made a number of comments on other threads about the book and the setting, including what books by other companies I have integrated into the setting.

The Auld Grump

The World Guide, and the Monsternomicon are excellent books. The setting material in the character guide is excellent, but some of the rules are a bit iffy in my opinion, espicially the gun rules. If you have Grim Tales I'd advocate the gun rules found therein. Additionally, Privateer Press puts out some excellent minis both in their Iron Kingdoms and War Machine lines that make for good play aids.
