So... The only problem I have with this whole "slow resting" idea is that I have only three spell slots. I used them a few days ago, and I am faced with waiting a week to get them back. Which would be fine if we could ever pass the time, but everything we do is so... urgent!

The group does seem to be full boar on running to meet every challenge immediately, which has been fun, but slightly unexpected. I’m still on the fence on how the adjusted rest is working out, but without it, you would have had a long rest before every or almost every encounter.

We are almost wrapping up this level and will be returning to the normal rest pattern soon.

I'm... confused. I thought we were seeking the caves, and then got side tracked by an effort (successful! Yay!) to rescue that ranger. How can we go back if we never made it? Aren't we still seeking them? Why would we go back to Gristletown - isn't that the raided forest hamlet? Did I miss something?

We were seeking the caves and got sidetracked finding the ranger, yes. Now we are taking him back to Aubrin's camp, then returning to look for the caves again.

This.

I thought we decided to go back to Aubrin with the Ranger who is in no condition to fight the Trogldytes that he told us are in the caves. Give him at least a day or so to rest while we figure out how to deal with the Trogldytes and then have him lead us to the caves.

Another option would be we could find another place to hold up. And leave tracks luring the Hobgoblins to the caves. Let them and the Trogldytes kill eachother while we hold up some place else.

This is what I thought was the plan, it looks like we are all back on the same page now.
